Project Description
Nordic Circle of Artistic Management is an international project aiming to develop the production and management skills across the field of dance. The project runs open workshops and two cycles of mentorship programmes during the years 2016-2018. It has partners in all five Nordic Countries.
Project partners are SITE Sweden, Performing Arts Hub Norway, Projectcentre/Dansehallerne (Denmark), Dance Atelier (Iceland) and Arts Management Helsinki.
Nordic Circle has two strands:
- international mentoring program for producers and self-producing artists
- open workshops for professionals within the field of dance
Within the mentoring program, eight producers or artists are given the possibility of mentoring for one year. Participants are selected in open calls, and the selected mentees are paired with an experienced mentor from another Nordic country.
The aim of the mentoring program is to develop producing and management skills in dance. Mentoring will empower producers and artists, and improve skills on a national, Nordic, and international level.
Nordic Circle of Artistic Management has been supported by the Nordic Culture Point, Nordic Culture Fund, Kulturrådet (SE), Danish Arts Foundation (DK) and Arts Promotion Center Finland (FI).

Mentoring Program
