Dance Artist, Poet
Hanna Ahti is a freelance dance artist and poet based in Helsinki. In her dance work, she combines the professions of dancer, performer, and choreographer. Hanna has worked as dancer and performer internationally for 20 years, in companies, collectives, and as a freelancer. In the recent years, she has expanded her artistic role into an iniatiator of projects and collective work.
Hanna is interested in the relationship of internal and external space of the body on stage and in performing, as embodiments of being, dance, and the body that deconstruct or defuse power structures. Currently, she reflects on nuances, leaning, sliding, dodging, and cracks as bodily experiences as well as beginnings of dance and text.
