Elli Isokoski

Elli Isokoski is a dance artist, founding member and managing director of  Myrskyryhmä dance company. She was been active in bringing dance performances, workshops and dance residencies into the field of elderly care.

Elli Isokoski received her BA in Dance from London Contemporary Dance School in 1998 and her MA in Dance Pedagogy from the Theatre Academy Finland in  2002. She has also completed studies in Community Dance, Dancer as Multiprofessional and Artist in Elderly Care programs.

Isokoski is interested in the interface of dance and everyday life; how dance enters ordinary life; what dance as an art form can contribute to encounters and connections of people, to invoking creativity and to rejuvenation. Isokoski is also interested in the expression forms of dance films and visual narratives.
